Head of AI, Specialty · Artera
I build AI that patients actually use.
I came up through product design, ran the design org at Artera, and now run intake AI. Most patient-facing software treats the experience as a configuration layer on top of an EHR. I don't.
Selected work
Specialty Intake Service Blueprint
An EHR-portable service blueprint for a new AI squad serving 50 specialty practices. The shared model the squad uses to argue capability bets and the artifact I hand the CEO instead of a deck.
Pacemaker: Federated & Prompt-Ready
Rebuilt Artera's design system twice in nine months. A federated stewardship group that turned every contributing squad into an owner, a prompt-ready substrate that Claude Code, Cursor, and Figma MCP read as ground truth, and an accessibility program that unblocked the federal market.
Native Reporting
Artera's first in-product analytics surface. The chart-library reface that made every other reporting surface cheap. Home Dashboard and Analytics Bites patterns used by 716 of roughly 980 enterprise customer organizations.
Voice of the Customer
One pipeline for every customer signal on Pendo Listen with Salesforce account context. PMs hit the 5-business-day response SLA on roughly 9 in 10 submissions. Design-owned, which is uncommon at most SaaS companies.
Conversation Steps
Multi-step patient care journey builder shipped with a multi-specialty clinic launch partner. Diary studies, prototype testing, and a self-service authoring model that put providers back in control of their own flows.
